Yesterday was beautiful, as is today but this wind today is nasty. Looked like a good crowd for Fab Fifties.

The 50's weekend brought an amazing amount of people to Wildwood. They had at least 6500 people come to the concert last night. I had a couple tables to sell some stuff. Great weekend.

Wildre, Nice meeting you too. I met a few people that are members here. Very interesting people. I think they will have to have two shows next year. They had 4000 people come the first year and 6500 this year. They can't fit any more. Good problem to have. I just hope they have somewhere to stay.

I was hoping to find a copy of this video. I was told over the summer it would be available at the Fab Fifties Weekend:
"FILM FESTIVAL: WILDWOOD ROCKS (REALLY)" New York Times
Imagine going home for Thanksgiving and finding out that your family had moved. That's how I felt when I went back to Wildwood in 2002 and realized that the places I'd loved all my life were vanishing. The Tempo motel - with the musical notes on the balcony - where I'd learned to play shuffleboard was gone. And Skyline golf, where I'd played miniature golf on the boardwalk overlooking the ocean: gone. I knew I wanted to preserve what was left on film and I was running out of time. Most people don't know it, but Wildwood has been called "the birthplace of rock 'n roll". Walk along Atlantic Avenue and you can see where Bill Haley first rocked around the clock. Wildwood is where a teenage Chubby Checker first twisted at the Rainbow, and thingy Clark held record hops at the Starlight Ballroom. "Wildwood Days" will touch the heart of anyone who ever had a special place.
Featuring interviews with Bruce Willis, Tom Verica ("American Dreams"), thingy Clark, Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, Marshall Lytle of the Original Comets and legendary deejay Jerry ("The Geator") Blavat.
