Thanks for the warm welcome!! I LONG for those "wildwood nights". I can hear the sounds and smell the food. I can't wait to play the crane machines. Every year we spend too much on those silly things. This year we have started a piggy bank with change to use in the cranes, lol.

The clubs? yikes, good luck.
From what I understand, during the weekdays the clubs are better in Wildwood, but on the weekend everyone hits up the bars in North Wildwood.
The Wildwood places are real sketchy, but the North Wildwood bars are pretty decent.- Echo's is a cool place.
As far as the WW places are concerned-
There's H20 which seems like it has a lot of potential, but I've never seen more than 20 or so people in the place.
The Fairview, which is pretty dumpy, but the atmosphere is fun and the music is decent.
Shakers is a definitly a little more than ghetto.
And by far my favorite is The Nile- a converted church with an egyptian theme. The place is real nice, seriously cool decor, FANTASTIC drink specials (and foam party nights), and the music is the best you'll find in WW (that is, if you like actual club music).

well awwwww crap.
Stayed in North Wildwood last year so I didn't make it down to the Nile.
They had this nice older gentlemanly door man at the entrance. That place was a trip.

Welcome to chris, cindy, nyjay, edishotnj and everyone else who I have not had the chance to introduce myself to yet.
This is a great place to discuss the Wildwoods and Doo Wop Preservation, as I'm sure you've all discovered.
Just as important, there are some terrific people here. I'm so glad to see that our little community is expanding so quickly!
Welcome, everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome. It is great to read everyone's stories. My wife thinks I am nuts posting on here. She just doesnt understand and she is the one that got me going to Wildwood, LOL. Wildwood brings you (or used to) bring you back to a time of innocence and fun. You feel like a kid all over again. I love it because as a kid we never vacationed anywhere. I love experiencing it through the eyes of my children. They absolutely love it. We will be down July 4-July 8. We are considering a day trip at the end of April or early May.
