Sorry the dogs aren't feeling better, Mike. I was glad I made it to Sam's on Saturday, but I wish I could have been there on time. It was good seeing everyone, though I didn't see Thom at all. We need to do it again in the next month or two... Sorry I left too early, Martin. My parking meter was expiring and I had to go take care of another appointment. Maybe next time - Thom

Thanks Marie. Thanks Martin. Thanks Al. There will be plenty of times I will be able to make it back down, but the dogs are getting old and I know they wont be around forever even though I wish they would be. I know plenty of people that had golden retrievers that did not live that long so I am lucky to have all three at 11 and 10 years old. So sorry to hear about the "pups". I have two babies myself. One is part Elkhound/Chow and the other is Sheperd/Collie. The Elkhound is going on 14 and the other is 10. The oldest has been diagnosed with a mass on his liver. It's a waiting game now. Not getting to the shore at all this year. He can't be kenneled and the trip might hurt him so can't bring him with us. So, just two or three day trips and the help of a pet sitter. It' s very difficult when they get older. We decided that we are no longer having pets when these two go to doggie heaven. We just want to be able to pack up and go any time we want. No children either, so we can go, go, go...

Finally made it down to WW. Went on Friday June 30th. It took 3.5 hours to get there which normally would only take 2.5 but traffic was he--. It was worth it though. Walked the boards, had my Macks pizza, birch beer and a waffle and icecream. The three necessities in life. Watched in horror as a flock of seagulls ripped into someones dinner (newcomers to the boards maybe) because the person walked away to get napkins for the table and no one was there to protect that food. Oh well, I think they learned an invaluable lesson. The weather was beautiful. Didn't want to come home. As I made my way on the boards something was missing. I realized that I knew the Skyline Golf sign was gone which I knew about but not seeing it felt funny and also with the Shore Plaza gone it felt like an emptiness there, strange. The beach was cool on the feet seeing that I didn't get on it til after 4pm and the water COLD!! But enjoyed just the same. Looking forward to another day visit in August. Even with all the building and destruction going on it's still WW and hopefully some things will stay the same thru it all.

Well, made it down yesterday for my day on the beach. one word describes: beautiful!! Got a sunburn though even with a spf of 30. Oh well as long as I had time on the beach and the boards that's all that counts. Didn't want to come home. I'll be visiting again the weekend of Sept. 15th. Miss it already.
