Thank you for your kind words everyone. I must say though that I have just completed the final slideshow (the one above was a draft). I added a few more pictures, and some minor transition stuff, and moved some pictures around. I will keep a link to that in my signature box below (will do that tonight).

Ugh, video uploading is giving me trouble. I will get it up tommorow. I sympathize, after spending most of Sunday and bits of the past two nights wrestling with the whole image/video hosting issue. I had to migrate everything I'd already posted because I realized that I was unwittingly violating the Yahoo Geocities terms of service, ugh... I made some QuickTime slide shows (.mov files) from the shots I took last weekend, but there doesn't seem to be a good way to post a .mov file of any size on a free site. And I'm thinking a lot of folks with Windows systems, especially older ones, might have trouble with a .mov file anyway? For now I've settled on building a slideshow using the native software at imageshack.us. Hope to have that done and post a link to it by the end of this week. I could swear the first time I looked at your draft slideshow on zippyvideos, Doowopper, the images were full screen or at least fairly large. But now when I go back to it, it's only about a third of my screen size, if that. With a lot of ugly stuff surrounding it. Not the best way to share scenic shots... The site that Denise uses, smugmug.com, does it right with full-screen images and no distractions, but they don't offer free accounts. Hope you've found a better option. In any case I'm looking forward to the final version of your show.

Ugh, I have to wait for tommorow, again. I'm just above the video upload limit of 20MB. The problem is it takes a good 15 minutes to upload it as a WMV file, and then to host it takes another 10 minutes. I'll get it up tommorow, I promise.
If anyone knows of any free video hosting sites that give you more than 20MB let me know.
btw, the old slideshow will not work anymore. I deleted it.

Gee, I hope it won't be as nostalgic as the last one. I don't think I could handle it.

OK, here it is. Unfortunately I had to whipe out half of the transitions from the first half, and my opening page to get it to below 20MB, but there weren't any before, so it is a little better. I removed some pictures from the old one, replaced them with a few better ones, and organized the photos better. It does not look a heck of a lot different from the draft version, but I never meant it to be. I tried to create somthing unique with the transitions of the sunsets in the last two slides, I hope you like it. I'm hoping to get a better digital camera over the winter (the one I used only has 3.2 Mega Pixels) and take pictures specifically for a slide show next summer. I took these just to have, and most of the pictures of motels were taken while driving down the main drag (I wasn't driving haha). Next year I hope to spend much more time around the island and get more unique photos. Well, I don't like looking that far ahead so I hope you enjoy what I have finished for now.

Yeah, the transitions kill you in terms of file size. The ending is fantastic. I replayed those last few seconds several times to marvel at what you did there. Very cool!
