Wow, how did the property values jump so high in five years when for years nothing earthshaking happened? In fact at one point WW was declining, at the end of the 80's unemployment was up and there was a recession. Now you have demolitions all over, including abandoned buildings like the movie theaters and the Grand and giant luxury condo/beach clubs in the works. What caused the turnaround and "clean up" all of a sudden? Did the WW's all of a sudden get "discovered" by society at large? Weren't the WW's forgotten over the years as people jetted off to more exotic destinations? It’s my understanding that over the past two months several squatters, vagrants, or what ever you want to call them, have been arrested for living in these vacant buildings. The owners are being told to secure up the properties or demolish them.

I agree that the bickering should be kept off the boards. If it's a heated debate about something Wildwood-related, that's fine. But if I have a non-board issue with someone in any forum, I take it to email. That helps things get resolved and it also saves the rest of us from a lot of back-and-forth b.s. And I'll be the first to admit I've made the same mistake in the past...

You can read a post and ignore its original intent only to find what interests you. I would like to take you out for a drink sometime. You can bring your brother too. We can talk about Hunt's Pier, property values, Niagara Falls...and of course, dark rides.

Yeah, and I can tell you how I almost got trapped in the one haunted house I couldn't find the way out.

Welcome to another "Who is Crippled_Visions"[glow=yellow,2,300] *[/glow] Here is a post from back in October stating "We payed 50 k for our small house in North Wildwood in the 90s."Here is a link to the actual post to prove nothing was doctored or edited.Come on CV payed? I think you mean paid. [glow=yellow,2,300] *[/glow]Now here we have a the same wording on his web site in the Wildwood Memories section. darkinthepark.com/Wildwood/wildwood3.htmScroll to the bottom and read it for yourself!Once Lou Booth died, her family forced the new owners of the motel to change its name. To save money, they changed the name to Le Boot. We continued to stay at this motel until my parents bought a house in North Wildwood in the early 90s. Le Boot Motel is still standing in North Wildwood, and still looks much like it did when we stayed there, except for remodeled rooms and no game room. Coincidence? As always, YOU DECIDE!Until next time.................... Can you smell a BS excuse coming too? Yes Anthony....CV and myself have a lot in common, but we are actually two separate people. I met him down the shore one summer when we both worked at Olympic Casino. His family had a house very close to ours and we would hang out all the time. His family recently sold their property and the house was demoed for 2 new condos. My family still owns their house on 13th street. Maybe when I'm down the shore someday, we can get together for drinks. -Bill C

With all the different aliases CV has, anything is possible.

I think it's all cooled down now. It was only a disagreement between two members, one who isn't even that active here. I think we should just let this thread die down towards the bottom where it will be forgotten and not visible anymore.
