Al, what are your favorite memories of the Wildwood from your youth? Hunt's Pier? The Nut Hut? The doo wop motels? Castle Dracula? Just remember... all the things that you loved about Wildwood were once changes that upset people before you.
Let me quote a Billy Joel song... "You know the good ole days weren't always good And tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems..."
The best coping tool is laughter....so lighten up!

I agree with you, CV.
Laughter is the best medicine, for me. I can’t speak for others though. Different people deal with things in different ways.
I totally understand what you are saying about how some of our favorite Wildwoods institutions were conceived at the expense of icons from the past. In fact, I touched on that very subject in a few different posts yesterday.
The Joel lyrics are a nice reminder that, generally, things are not always as bad as we make them out to be.
Let’s hope that “tomorrow ain't as bad as it seems” indeed, as it relates to the Wildwoods…
