Negative on the apply to the new wanderer on the forum. I just ran the e-mail address to see if it was really. Why not someone take one for the team and e-mail this person.

Well, at least she didn't ask for bank account info. Still, the admin should check out her credentials, I think, to keep the message board legit... The good news is that it looks like someone may be offering a bit of healthy competition in the Wildwood amusement industry. I wonder what "existing properties" Cheryl's clients are acquiring... (I know, I know: "Please send your questions along with a resume...") Could be a buyout! Cheryl may be a benign forward observer. Its not improbable the Moreys and Gillians in O.C. would sell ..I would bet Seaside Hgts. would want to sell......look at the Hunts and Ramagosas.....didn't everyone expect them to be here forever? Who was that outfit snapping up giant amusement empires in early 90's? They had ties to Saudi Arabia. And then when things don't work out.......CONDOS all over the boardwalk.

I fully understand your concerns. Hotmail and Yahoo offer free email services, that don't compromise your personal email accounts. Frankly, I wouldn't give out mine either.
Cheryl.

Cheryl, You need to realize that we as a group always question what the future holds for Wildwood. The purpose of this BB is to preserve the past as well as planning for the future. SO since you posted a job opening here on these boards then I do think we deserve to ask these questions and get a proper response HERE.

Well said, re... Besides, Cheryl, I don't know how anyone could put together a fitting resume given the limited information about the position and/or the hiring company. Thanks, homer

I understand your concern, however this is a confidential search for a property manager, as well as creative people. My clients have not finalized the purchase of any properties, and do not wish their information to be shared with the public until any such acquisitions have been made. I understand your respect for the Jersey Shore. In searching the web for non-traditional recruiting spots, this is the first message board of it's kind that I have found, and tried to use.

I agree, Frank. I'm just trying to get more info. for whomever might be interested in the position.
We did manage to obtain the title "property manager"...and the fact that the client doesn't own any property yet. Still, I think it would be an exciting opportunity for the right person...

Maybe the Midway/Splash Zone Pier is for sale? Or Sportland? If someone feels they're qualified, give it a chance!

Cheryl: I am a business owner and I commend business people trying to do their jobs. However, a confidential search could have been done in major newspapers with a full job description and full address. Since your clients have not finalized any deal and wish their names not be given how do you know what the job description would be?? I guess you're looking for non traditional people for the non traditional work?? CN

From the mr boardwalk board (emphasis mine): re: homer I don't have an account on the doo wop boards so I'll post it here: I found this in somone's blog (located here: 463.blogs.com/the_463/2005/09/you_may_have_al.html):"Got one of those “I need your help collecting $18 million dollars” scam emails today. While it’s hard to imagine anyone falling for it, the fact that these emails are sent so often means they must. What’s the business model for these email scams? Usually these scam artists seek either personal information or credit card information from those they dupe. In this case, the domain name from which “Mr. Peter Chang” sent the email was oluchimix.net. This domain had been registered through the domain name company Dotster on Sept. 12. When I emailed “Mr. Peter Chang,” it actually showed up as an email address to a domain called financier.com, which was registered in 1996 and is now through Register.com. The contact person listed for financier.com is: Gerald Gorman 33 Knightsbridge Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854 US Phone: 9086960929 Fax..: none Email: abuse@mail.com_gerald.gorman@att.net So, this unsolicited scam email that comes from oluchimix.net gets redirected to financier.com, which is supported by a domain name company called NJDomains. " "Consultant.com" (where Cheryl Nize comes from) is also registered to this Gerald Gorman of Piscataway, a scam artist. (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/results.jhtml;jsessionid=QGD5WOTWZGPPWCWMEAQSFFA?whoistoken=0&imageKeyPage=/whois/entry.jhtml&_requestid=117389) (copy and paste whole address to see proof about consultant.com) Feel free to dispell the rumor on the doo wop board. So do you think she'll e-mail me back?

Thank you all for your responses. We chose not to run a newspaper ad due to the high cost associated with working with the New York Times etc. We have located a pool of candidates and will be making a selection from them. Thank you all very much for your time and interest.
