Yes, I've been on that ride, it's called the Haunted Mansion and is along the boardwalk inside a small amusement park which is half outdoors and half indoors called Funland. Laff in the dark has an article about it. It was built around 1977 I think. Also, Ocean City, MD still has two Bill Tracy classics, the ride-through Haunted House on the boardwalk built in 1962, and the walk-through Pirate's Cove in the amusement park behind the Haunted House. Laff also has articles on those. Plus a few other dark rides/fun houses in Ocean City as well at another park and on the pier. I rode them all. The oldest surviving dark ride in WW would be the Golden Nugget, built in 1960. Next, would be Dr. Blood's built in 1970? Then, Dante's built in 1980. There are some good dark ride survivors, like at Knoebels, Rehoboth Beach, and Ocean City, MD. Also the New York area has several within driving diatance, there's the other Dante's Inferno at Coney, plus two others, and some at Playland, Rye, NY including an old mill and two pretzel-type scary rides. And don't forget Seaside has an excellent ride-through and walk-through. So, all is not lost. What the shore areas are missing is a good WALK-THROUGH haunted attraction like Brigantine Castle, Castle Dracula, Haunted Mansion, Castle Frankenstein, Haunted House. All there is now is this dumb crap like Curse of the Mummy, or Haunted Manor at Seaside (probably a lot better than Mummy though)
