Has anyone eaten here ? It's in the Bolero. Looked great as I wanted to catch the baseball game while eating (the setup is good for sports) but the food was TERRIBLE and we were very hungry. it actually made us both sick and we had to call it an early night.
Everyplace around around had an hour wait and the Blue Water had 3/4 of the place empty, now I know why.

Maybe they should call it the Brown Water Grill.

It could have just been a bad experience but we ordered Nachos, Wings and Fried Shrimp. Not the toughest items to make on the menu, lol. Too bad because the place is real nice inside but I will say the ultra modern look didn't feel like Wildood.

Having stayed at the Bolero a number of times over the past few years, I've seen the Blue Water Grille packed and completely empty, often at very curious times.
Never stopped in to eat for various reasons. The menu is quite expensive, but for us, I guess the main reason is we like to get out a little bit, and not eat at the same place we're staying at.
Still, I'm a little surprised that we've never eaten there at all.
Mike C. (crazyaboutwildwood) has stayed at the Bolero more times than I, and has probably been to the Blue Water at least once. I'm not sure, but we'll have to ask him when he gets back from his current trip to Wildwood.
JIMD, what night did you eat there? We were cruising all over the island looking for a place to eat on Saturday night. Got a late start after spending hours at the Starlux pool, and ran into the same problems as you (30 min. - 1 hour wait just about everywhere).
We really didn't want to go up to the Boards to eat, so we just waited it out a bit. Ironically, my wife suggested the Blue Water, Schellengers and Neil's as possibilities. So, we walked north on Atlantic, but, eventually, the new Red Sky restaurant caught our eye.
We went in (at roughly 8 p.m.), were greeted by a very nice guy (either the owner or manager, not sure) and were seated right away. Food was served to us less than 20 minutes after we sat down, and everything was excellent.
Not to change the subject, but if you are in this area, I would recommend trying out the Red Sky. Though, you can't go wrong with Neil's or Schellenger's also.
I'm going to have to try the Blue Water Grille on my next trip to the Bolero, just to see for myself. But, thanks for the heads up!

I had very simple food, Wings, Nachos and fried shrimp. I actually popped my head into the Red Sky Sunday night and was going to have a drink but I was watching the baseball game as we went place to place and the Red SKy didn't seem to have a TV at the bar or anywhere else.
Also stopped in Tuckers for teh first time, it was a nice place, wish we had eaten there

Now that you mention it, I don't remember seeing a television at the Red Sky, so I guess that's one potential drawback (if you're lookking to sit at the bar and watch a game, at least).
Tucker's is very nice. I haven't eaten there either, but I've had a few drinks at the bar and watched a few hockey games there in the dead of winter.
Always smells really good when you're walking past it outside, though.

No one has any new feedback on the red sky cafe. It got mixed reviews early in the season. I wonder if its gotten better since they have had time to iron the kinks out.

From our one experience there on Saturday night, Hulk, it was great. The atmosphere, food and service were excellent.
It's a bit pricey, but we were very happy with everything. Pretty diverse menu also.
I'd recommend it.

Will give it a shot if I get a chance to go down. Anything that you suggest ordering Al?

Hulk, just about everything on the menu looked good.
I had the Jambalaya (shrimp, chicken, hot sausage), which was great. My wife had an enchilada platter and my brother got the baby back ribs.
I sampled a bit of everything, and it was all good.

I'm disgusted that the owners of the Red Sky treated the Maureen/Blue Olive neon martini glass as they did, seemingly with such contempt. New or not, it was really neat looking IMO, and "fit" Wildwood well...

Im back. It is sad to say that the blue water grill-bolero has horrible food. I have eaten at this place many many times and it has been all bad. The reason why I have eaten there so many times is because I just thought it would get better because its such a nice place and to the best of my knowledge it is ran well. The breakfast is okay. Nothing to go crazy about. I usually get the choclate chip pancakes.
