I personally like 70's 80's music way better than the crap that's playing on top 40 radio today. Much of the 90's music sucked, too. Maybe I'm biased because I grew up in the 70's and 80's (born in 1974). I like stuff like Michael Jackson from 70's 80's, Bruce Springsteen, Phil Collins/Genesis, New Wave, Madonna of the 80's, Hall & Oates, Elton John, Huey Lewis and the News and a lot more. I loathe teen music of the late 90's and hip hop/rap of the late 90's and most modern country and teen punk rock. What's up with all the young stars today? Most of them born after 1980.

I am sure that a lot of adults thought and felt the same way about rock and roll back in the 1950s! But like Bob Dylan said, 'cause the times, they are a changing." But I also agree prety much with your observations totally Robert...Guess it's just a sign that we're all getting older huh?

Our music from the 70's and 80's were probably strange to the older set back then. It's the same now that I am older. I find myself thinking a lot of the music today is bizarre. However, I do keep an open mind and do enjoy some of it.

I was born in 86 and I prefer classic rock. But I keep an open mind to all types of music from all ages. I like many different types of music, I figure talents talent. And there's always talent popping up somewhere!
