These guys rocked wildwood and a piece of history is on the 1975 "alive" album. Some of it was recorded in wildwood and this was the biggest selling live album of all time!!! I dont know if that record still holds and I dont really listen to kiss all that much anymore but they are still a cool band!

Great album!!!
They had a follow-up "ALIVE" lp released sometime later I think.
According to BILLBOARD that Kiss lp was one of the biggest selling albums in history until FRAMPTON COMES ALIVE took over not too long afterwards sometime around 1976-77.
Both albums bring back fond memories of WNEW-FM and Scott Muni.

Crazyaboutwildwood - I'll simply refer to you as CAW to speed things up if that's okay?
I believe KISS eventually DID regain that No. 1 spot for best selling live albums again in December 1977...So you are right!
I'm going to pay both KISS and FRAMPTON albums right now in fact! Thanks for reminding me. Anthony

You guys are really cool! Yes kiss alive 2 came out in 1977, kiss alive 3 came in 1993, and kiss alive 4 came in around 2003. Anyways I saw kiss 6 times since 1996. They put on one hell of a show!!

Kiss is an awesome band and they changed rock and roll. They have had such an impact in music. Our final song with my band every gig is "I Want to Rock & Roll all night." Just sums it all up!

KISS, in its prime, was probably a little before my time, but I definitely understand their impact and importance.
Someday, perhaps when the Wildwoods get around to celebrating 70s weekend, we will see a KISS reunion at the Convention Center. Hey, you never know.
My most vivid memory of KISS actually does involve Wildwood. It is from the sign of the old wax museum (right under the old Castle Dracula sign at the Boardwalk & Cedar Ave.) that included their likeness.
