I'm not a huge fan of "Doo Wop," but I do enjoy all musical eras and styles. These are some of my favorites from that time off the top of my head...
(I believe these would all qualify, lastresort. Though, you may want to fact-check me on the artists. Pretty sure they are mostly accurate, from memory).
Why Do Fools Fall In Love - Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers Get A Job - The Silhouettes Sh-Boom - The Chords Speedoo - The Cadillacs At The Hop - Danny & the Juniors I Wonder Why - Dion & the Belmonts Little Darlin' - The Diamonds (and I think the Glaiolas recorded a version also) Book Of Love - The Monotones Little Girl Of Mine - Cleftones At My Front Door - El Dorados
Of course, Bobby Rydel's "Wildwood Days" goes without saying as probably my all-time favorite Doo Wop tune.
And, I also became a huge fan of "Doo Wop Christmas," when I heard it here on the site a few months back.

It's a marketing ploy to add another shoulder event weekend. It's correct name is "Wildwoods Fabulous 50's Salutes the 60's" www.FabFifties.comAlso Wildwood Days is a 60's song, copyright@1963, Karl Mann and Dave Appell. So I think the 50's kind of melded into the 60's?

I think you're correct, wildre, that the 50's melded into the 60's, at least for a while like I've been saying all along. Like take for example the movie "American Graffitti", most would associate that with the 50's, but it was set in the summer of 1962. Some of the Frankie Avalon songs were early 60's but had a 50's feel. And Connie Francis, the Beach Boys, etc. were all early 60's but seemed like the 50's.
But alas, anything 50's was shattered unfortunately by 3 gunshots in Dallas on November 22, 1963 and 4 lads from Liverpool the following February...everything after that is the 60's.

If Wildwood Days is an option, then of course Bobby Rydell takes my Doo Wop top spot. That would be unorthodox not to, even though I always considered it to be more of a theme song to my life than a Doo Wop anthem.

For some reason and I dont know why a 100% but meatloaf reminds me of wildwood. I know he is not doo wop but he was hot for alot of years with the whole bat out of hell theme and of course old meat was in the rocky horror picture show which I saw for the 1st time on the wildwood boarwalk at midnight and it was packed. Great memories! This might be the start of another thread but anyone rember the rocky horror picture show? So weird.

A dozen of my favorites... too hard to pick one: "Hushabye" --The Mystics "I Only Have Eyes for You"--The Flamingos "In the Still of the Night"--The Five Satins "Little Darlin'"--The Diamonds "Bristol Stomp"--The Dovells "Why Do Fools Fall In Love"--Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers "My True Story"--The Jive Five" "Daddy's Home"--Shep and the Limelites "Once in a While"--The Chimes "Mr. Blue"--The Fleetwoods "Life Is But a Dream"--The Harptones "So Far Away"--The Pastels Probably every boomer who loves the Wildwoods gets goosebumps on hearing Percy Faith's "Theme from 'A Summer Place'" (1960), but it doesn't qualify as doo-wop, of course. On the other hand, "Blue Moon" by the Marcels (1961) ABSOLUTELY IS doo-wop.

Almost anything by Johnny Maestro, either w/The Crests or The Brooklyn Bridge AND early Dion and the Belmonts. Two GREAT harmony Doo Wop Groups. My favorite song is "Gee" by The Crows (1954). Many purists claim it to be the 1st Rock n' Roll Record and it is great doo-wop!
