Mine would have to be Chubby Checker's 'Twist Again'. Reminds me of the amusements of Wildwood everytime I hear it. The original Twist is fantastic too. Just gotta love hearing "Round and Round and Up and Down We Go Again," it suprises me why this isn't on the pier's soundtrack. It would add perfectly to the current atmosphere.

Does 'Oh Donna' by Ritchie Valens count? I have special reason to like that song ;D
It's the right era anyway!

Official would be Wildwood Days by Bobby Rydel, but if I had to mention my favorite song, I'd have to say "Cherish," by the Association. It just happens to be playing on Sattelite Radio on my computer now. Thom

sorry folks, I hate to be a "purist", but some of you mentioned songs from the LATE 60'S (Cherish, Can't take my eyes...) and "heat wave" is mid 60's MoTown. Come on! If we're talking doo wop, it HAS to be AT LEAST pre-Bristish Invantion (i.e., pre Feb 1964), preferably pre-1962. The last think I want is WW to become some 60's throwback, enough of the 60's already!!!

I loved the Christmas song ("Sleigh bells are ringing...... Everthing is how it should be.....ding dong ding") that played in December when you opened this webpage. Dont know what it is called or who sang it, but I hope it is played again next Christmas.

question?? since I am relatively new to the board, what formatting key do we use to get the black rectangle around the quote that you want to reply to?? I tried the "quote" key below, but that does not seem to work, thanks .....
[OK sorry but i think about wildwood when i hear this song is blue moon ok ] -- no excuses, Mike. I always think of the cute bonde ponytailed waitress at the "Hot Spot" shuffling along in her nice white shorts in the summer of 1975 everytime I hear "Listen to What the Man Said", but I'm not going to cite that as "doo wop" :-)
