I don't have XM radio but I got Sirius; mostly because of Howard Stern. (I cannot start my day without listening to him!) ahhh....I didn't know you were a Stern fan huntspier. I also got Sirius for Stern. It doesn't get better than Howard. "Now give me five million Mother f**ke_" Crippled- Oh yes, I love Howard... I was going to check out his last show from KROC but the weather wasn't that great. (Also, his offices were close to Central Park / Midtown area and my office was in SoHo.) I think my favorite part of Howard on Sirius are the Roasts.... and (so far) the Artie Roast was the best. I heard that the next one might be Bababooey! Did you get a chance to hear any of the Labor Day Weekend Top 10 uncensored KROC tapes? They played the entire Bababooey tape where he begs that girl to go back out with him.... "Hello, hello!" HAHAHA! Oh, the comedy! -Kristen

I thought K-Rock owned those tapes and was not handing them over to Howard? They played them on Stern's Sirius show?

Robert -- If you want 80's videos, just go to youtube, they have just about everything, even late 70's and you name it.

For hulk007 - yes, Casey Kasem's alive. He's 74 and just made a lot of money selling his countdown shows to XM.

I didn't hear the Gary girlfriend tape, but I remember it when it originally aired. That was real embarrassing. I even remember when they edited it to that Bruce Springsteen song. What was he thinking? I heard some of the roasts. I really enjoy Richard and Sal's phony phone calls...especially when they call those public access shows. I love how they call in and fill up all the lines on a show and just attack them without mercy. Also, the bababoey songs are always a hoot.

Wow, it seemed like K-Rock would never part with those tapes. I'm sure some $$$ was exchanged.

Wow, it seemed like K-Rock would never part with those tapes. I'm sure some $$$ was exchanged. If you remember, Howard was being sued by CBS. Howard ended up working out a settlement with CBS which included him getting all his old tapes. I think part of the settlement was that Howard could not talk about the lawsuit or Les Moonvess anymore...and he hasn't since the settlement. It has never been disclosed how much money Howard payed for the tapes, but I'm sure it was in the millions.

Good for Howard, the problem is a guy like that is never really happy.

I think Howard is very happy now... not being scrutinized 24/7 by the FCC! I'm just glad he's able to say what he wants and I think the shows really show that!
My favorite Bababooey song is when they added the words to the Star Wars theme... I cannot watch any of those movies without singing "Ba ba ba, ba ba boo, ba ba boo... Ba ba ba, ba ba boo, ba ba boo... ba ba ba, ba ba boo, ba ba booey!"

My feeling with Howard was he always needed a cause and with the FCC off his back does he still really have one?(I guess this should be saved for another message board)
