Doesn't Wildwood do anything special like for Halloween or Christmas around the boardwalk or anything?

It used to involve Castle Dracula until it burned down. I honestly haven't paid attention to it since then but they still hold it, I think. The Jaycees have always held the Christmas Parade but in general these two parades have usually been very short and quick. The highlight always was the haunted house until it was gone. Many years ago, Christmas was always a great time, when Pacific Avenue was fully active. They had parades, christmas carolling, roasting chestnuts, and all kinds of stores with special sales. But we all know that ended with the death of Pacific Avenue. Thom

They do the parade still...but now they go to the Convention Center. (at lease they did, I have not been to one of the parades in years) The local Firemen would run the Castle way back when I was there. (tho the JCs actually got the day organized) Some of the year round castle creeps would also play in there. Somewhere around here I still have the two trophies that my daughter and I won.

I remember seeing an ad for Christmas in July on an old Captain's Table ad. When did they first start it? I believe the ad was from the early 90's

Wouldn't it just look beautiful with Christmas lights strung from one end of the boardwalk to the other??? Back in PA we have Christmas Village and does that ever draw people with the thousands and thousands of lights! It's just so beautiful!

I believe the ad was from the early 90's I seem to remember it starting quite a few years before that. I can remember the Captain's Table having either a very large Santa or Snowman out facing Atlantic Avenue years ago.

I would guess it had to be some time after the 4th maybe toward the end of the month.
