Welcome to the new online message boards of the Doo Wop Preservation League!
This is the board to share all of your favorite Wildwood memories... whether you grew up in the Doo Wop era of the 1950s and 1960s, danced in a disco club in the 1970s, experienced the decline years of the 1980s, or rode the new roller coasters of the 1990s...

Having been born in 1978, I grew up with the Wildwoods of the 1980s, an era (as noted by Mike) in which the resort was in a state of decline. Of course, that reality was irrelevant to a wild-eyed kid who literally spent 365 days a year dreaming of the beach, the boardwalk, the rides, the warm glow of the neon motels at night and banana cream pie deserts at Groff's Restaurant. Even as an adult, those feelings remain with me today. Unfortunately , I now have a much better sense of the realities of the world, and I have come to realize that most things in life (especially the best things, it seems) do not last forever. The Wildwoods remain a magical place for me, a treasure chest filled with so many great institutions. But it was my childhood memories that defined (and still fuel) my passion and love of the resort. I'm looking forward to sharing and discussing those wonderful memories with everyone here on the new message board. Bring on the nostalgia!
