Perhaps some of you computer people are clever enough to post some of your favorite motel pictures. Would love to see other's shots of their vacation spots in their prime. So if you have some photos from you 50's/ 60's/70's visits to the Wildwoods...would love to see them. Its fun to see how the buildings changed subtly over the years...changing railings, colors, signage etc. trying to keep up with the times!

Ah, that would be the Tuscany Motel in North Wildwood, on Surf Ave.
Nice pic, SwingOnThis… did you take it?
The Tuscany has great detailing and is another somewhat overlooked motel in the Wildwoods.
It’s one of the many, many motels in North Wildwood with a Mediterranean theme. My personal favorites are the Acropolis, Athens I & II, Grecian Gardens, Roman Holiday and the Trylon.
I have photos of all of these motels (and many more in the Wildwoods), and will try to post some of them soon.

I'd love to see whatever ya got, Frank! Old or new, looking at pics of Doo Wop motels in the Wildwoods never gets old for me. I really enjoy the different pics that people take, because there is always a unique perspective to be appreciated.

Awesome pics, Frank! #1 -- The family in front of Groff's... you just can't beat that! #2 -- Great ariel shot of the south end of Wildwood and the Boardwalk... Wow, even from that distance, the gigantic, beautiful Wyland mural on the side of the Boardwalk Mall is plainly visible. #3 -- This ariel pic (looking northwest) is my favorite. Check out the neon on Laura's Fudge! Just awesome. One unfortunate thing that this photo illustrates is just how dominated by condos/townhouses this area of Wildwood has become. If you look right at the center of the photo (right behind Laura's), you can see a long, four-storied building with blue awnings. That is the old DuBois Hotel, which just recently was torn down. At the extreme left-center of the pic is the Martinique Motel, which, sadly, has sat vacant and neglected for some time now. #4 -- Really nice shot of the sun setting on the Wildwoods. Dusk is a very special, magical time on the island. Check out the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk below. You can just about feel the energy and the excitement of this captured moment in time.
