Does anyone remember this arcade? This place was huge, with all different levels of arcade games, pool tables, and that spiral staircase that went up stairs to all the pinballs! Remember you could see all the pinballs on the second level trew the big glass that strecthed across the entire length of the building and the stairs in the back to come up or down (besides the spiral staircase) This was later changed to the "photon laser game" and now I think they store the tram cars in there if im not mistaken. This i believe was origanally a hunts theater and roller skating to I remember!

Wasn't that in the building that became known as Boardwalk Mall? It does sound familiar to me though...

This was the Hunt's Casino theater/Photon Laser Game building which was torn down in 1999 for a parking lot. www.mrboardwalk.net has pictures and info under the Hunt's Theaters section. It was next to the Shore theater near where Castle Dracula was. Casino Pier, once associated with Sportland Pier when the Ramagosa's owned it is right behind it and is go-karts now owned by the Nickels. Casino Pier closed in 1980.

Didn't at least some of the rides behind the arcade by Casino Pier last a little bit longer than 1980? I can remember the Dumbo ride from when I was a little boy being around til probably about 1982, and I thought it was located in that area (behind the arcade with the big Coca-Cola sign on the front, right?), but memory can play tricks on you sometimes. What made the ride really great was that you were able to control the height yourself with this lever inside each elephant. I still can "feel" the control in my hands after all these years, riding it with my father and laughing almost continuosly while on the ride. He liked it too!
