Castle Frankenstein on Fun Pier, burned down 1984. Hitchcock Manor on Mariner's Landing, burned 1981. Whacky Shack, Hunt's Pier, removed after 1995. Haunted House, Morey's Pier, removed after 1984. Dr. Blood's House of Horror, Sportland Pier, closed 1984? Does anyone remember the interiors of these rides? If yes, could you describe them? I saw the exteriors of all of them back in 1980-83 but didn't go in those. The Wildwood websites like www.funchase.com and www.mrboardwalk.net have some excellent rare shots of these attractions, but very few if at all shots of the interiors.

I went on the Whacky Shack ride many times, but I'm having a hard time trying to come up words to describe the inside of it. It was meant to be kinda spooky, with some flashing lights in spots, dead bodies around, some sound effects, and before you were left off where you started, your car got pushed through doors that split open. It was very cool, but I wish I could describe it better. I'm sure someone else here might be able to do a better job. It was a big loss to have it destroyed. I was never through any of the other rides you mentioned, at least that I can remember.
