Why the heck did they get rid of that coaster? By the time the pier was sold to become conkos party pier it was sold I believe to make funds for new and more rides for the pier. Roller coasters are a major draw for people, and i just dont know why they sold it? ( it now sits at six flags over georgia, the ninja?) Maybe the pier could have been saved with the kamikaze still standing today!

[glow=blue,2,300]My guess is they sold it to pay off the rest of the purchase loan on it. I’m sure it didn’t have a chance to pay for itself.[/glow] [glow=orange,2,300]AC[/glow]

The Kamikaze was the greatest coaster ever placed on the Wildwood boardwalk. It was so massive it took up most of the middle and rear of Conkos pier. I was lucky enough to ride it the one season it was open before they sold it. A great looping and non stop coaster. I was so sad to see it go. The Morey's could build a coster that could take up the entire surface of the old Hunts pier. The opress alone would get alot of customers there to ride it. Maybe one day they will build a super coaster that overlooks the beach. its needed.

I agree! They say a new coaster can draw an extra 250,000 to 275,000 extra people to an area. It would be huge and I think the old hunts will eventually be developed! So why dont we leave the golden nugget in its origanal location, restore it, plus build a massive new coaster.
