Does anyone know what happened to the large blue boat adorned with Neptune and Sea Horses? It played music I thinkg?
Also, there was the Pink Flamingo and a fishing vessel called the Royal Flush...
Are any of these still functioning? I used to LOVE to see that "fancy" blue boat as a kid.

This is just awful.
I have to admit, though, a few years ago, I would have digested and forgotten about a story like this -- terrible as it is -- relatively quickly.
As the father of a young child now, these things hit so much closer to home.
I pray for the family of this kid, and continue to hope, against logic and reason, that he will somehow be found alive.

More on the tragic accident: www.pressofatlanticcity.com/news/cape/050205DROWNINGFOLO050105.cfm In part: Witnesses recalled seeing blood around Johs' body moments before he sank, and reported part of his clothing was torn. Some witnesses told the Staten Island Advance they saw a cut on Johs' leg. State Police divers Sunday confirmed that a piece of black cloth found wrapped around the Whalewatcher's left propeller was material from a T-shirt. "He may have been struck by the (Whalewatcher's) propeller," said State Police spokesman Sgt. Stephen Jones. "We're working with the father to try and confirm exactly what he was wearing." Genovese has served as a mate on the Whalewatcher II, a vessel from the Cape May Whale Watch & Research Center at Schellenger's Landing in Lower Township. But on the boat's first trip this season he came aboard as one of about 30 passengers.
