Hey, while we're on the subject of Williamsburg, Busch Gardens is opening a new haunted castle ride this year called Curse of DarKastle. It looks awesome from the previews. I've been to Busch Gardens a few times before. That's just what the park needs what it lacked, a scary dark ride. They had some scary things before but not like this. There was a scary show in the Globe Theater several years ago, in fact the lobby looks creepy like the entrance to a haunted castle like Castle Dracula. And the simulator ride where the queue line was in a cave, that was creepy. Kind of like a walkthrough. At one time they had a walkthrough where the arcade is inthe same building next to where that simulator ride is/was, not sure if it's still there. You should check it out, Contessa being that you worked in Castle Dracula all those years. Oh, it's a ride through. themeparks.about.com/od/themeparksphotogalleries/v/DarKastleVideo.htm Click on picture for video. www.coaster-net.com/rg/curseofdarkastle.php At least you still have dark rides in Wildwood. My hometown park has NOTHING in the summer months. They used to have old dark rides, but all of them were removed. I rode them all. They do have walk-through haunted houses in October, though. I envy King's Dominion and Busch Gardens now because they both have dark rides (Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion and the new DarKastle) but Dorney has nothing except the walk-throughs in Oct. They used to have a boat ride in the dark, but it was removed after 1992. It was called Journey to the Center of the Earth and it was one of the last old mills (like what was under Castle Dracula) but Dorney's had a lift and drop at the end. The only Old Mill left on the East Coast is at Playland, Rye, NY.

Yes Robert, we go to BG...and we do all the scary stuff...but we go when the place is all done for Halloween..so we get extra spook stuff...but that's not why we go to BG..we go for the Coasters! We LOVE the big coasters...Apollo's Chariot is the best there...but Alphengeist is pretty cool, too...and the Big Bad Wolf...and The Loch Ness Monster is always a blast! .At least you still have dark rides in Wildwood . I don't live in Wildwood.
