As a kid I loved to hear the jingling of the fruit vendor truck. A truck bearing fresh fruit produce would come by the motels in the afternoons and I'd run out and get fresh cherries and peaches. Also, the ice cream trucks were major hits. Do they still come around, or do the "condo" people frown upon such things....

Yeah....They are still here in summer! It's nice to know that some things haven't changed down here...

Tony's Produce still has his fruit trucks on the streets. I've seen an ice cream truck, but never bought from them. With so many great places for ice cream on the Island, it gives them stiff competition.

Oh goody. There was something so innocent about a fruit truck driving around ringing it's bell.
