Has anyone ever witnessed any fights in wildwood or anything out of the ordinary? I know that it happens sometimes, usually in Central Wildwood. I don't know if it's still a problem or not.
Also I was wondering if that part of Pacific Ave that is run down and abandoned [around Wildwood Ave] is ever going to be built up again, maybe a Hoys 5 and 10 would help the area, it is kind of scary at night because it is still closed up and poorly lit. There is also a block of the boardwalk that is closed up and dark at night, anyone know what's become of that for this summer?
I really like Wildwood, but I wish they would fix it up a little, it seems like it has become rundown in some area's. When you think of it Wildwood is really a Horse of a differnt color, it is a very inconsistent city, which is probaly why it is so neat. For example when your walking around you might see a colorful looking doo wop motel, and then right next door an abandoned lot, then a local mart or something, then the next block will have a nightclub, then something entirely different. Are the majority of these nightclubs in Downtown Wildwood geared toward visitors or locals?

I did see a fight breaking out one night in N. Wildwood. That was back in 1996, when my friend still owned the Surf Motel. Right across the street, the Manor bar was still there, and around 2 in the morning, this girl came out, totally wasted, screaming at the top of her lungs "Leave me alone! Gimme my keys! I wanna go home!" Seemed like her friends had taken her keys away from her, and she didn't like it one bit!! So she got into a fist fight with them while trying to get her keys back, made it to the 24th Street Motel's parking lot, broke something there (couldn't see what it was from my balcony), fought some more with her friends and almost got run over by a car while crossing the street again!! Then the police arrived and they put her in the car and drove away! There were a lot of fights at that place. But that one was quite something!! LOL

I was also wondering what has/is going to happen to that creepy dark section of the boardwalk. I wish that abondoned section of Wildwood had been more appealing to the developers instead of ripping down all of the motels.

When I took a walk on the boardwalk last Wednesday, I noticed that there was a sign on that building sitting in the "creppy" part - either to rent or sell the units, IIRC. Not the stores on the ground level, but the area above.

Was that a motel above the "Creepy" boardwalk block? Anyone know the name of it?
I've seen a few motels that are on the boardwalk, the AA heart of wildwoods, The King's motor inn, and the Shore plaza. Are there any others?
I saw the Shore Plaza was in a good location but wouldn't it be noisy all the time? If anyone knows anything about any of these places please let me know.

I have not been to Wildwood since 1999 and I was wondering what part of the boarwalk are you referring to that is dark and creepy? How long has it been that way? Also what is around that area of Pacific and Wildwood Avenue? It is hard to believe that there are actually empty lots in Wildwood now and boring condos. I started going down there at the age of 14 in 1983 and continued to go every summer until 1999. I am looking forward to going back this August for a long weekend at the Caribbean Motel. I remember back in the day driving down the strip at night and seeing those colorful neon motel signs all lit up. Such a cool site. But the way things sound now, there won't be that many to see.

If anyone wants too witness a fight in wildwood come with me next time! Im tired of all the rude motel owners ripping my head off when you ask them a simple question and the grumpy resturant workers. Im going to punch them right in the face for being so rude when Im spending my hard earned money! Believe me its a little frustrating when you work 16 hours a day, seven days a week and you come down to the place you love and get that kind of treatment!

Do you get a lot of Pottstown Thugs in your restaurant Crazy? How do you handle them?

I always try to be as peaceful as possible.Sometimes people just flip out on you for no reason, kind of like some motel owners in wildwood. People tend to get scared around you.,and you dont want that. Sometimes you just got to protect yourself if someone drunk or somthing gets out of hand! Sometimes you got to let the heat( my dad calls the police the heat) handle things.
