That picture right there showcases what was once the virtual gateway to an amusement lover’s paradise. Amazing that you can catch a glimpse of more original dark rides in that photo alone than exist in total in the Wildwoods today.
Remember the way the Wacky Shack letters used to swing to the side in unison, accompanied by the light creaking sound of the movement? They just don’t make ‘em like they used to, that’s for sure.

I just won an auction on ebay for this same postcard. Did someone on this forum sell it to me? I already received it and it was in a plastic sleeve in excellent condition.

I have to say, I've become quite addicted to purchasing old Wildwoods postcards on eBay of late. It's a (relatively) inexpensive hobby, as long as I limit it to just a few a week.
There are definitely some great treasures out there. Online auctioning is yet another modern convenience that many take for granted. I can't even count the number of gems I've found there, that I probably would have never stumbled upon elsewhere.
Many of these old postcards were issued by companies that no longer exist. Thus, I should be able to put a number of the older ones up on my website, eventually.

I must admit ebay does have cool stuff. One of the clowns from the Keystone Kops ride was recently for sale on ebay.

There is a seller on ebay who continuously has items from Castle Dracula for sale. I bought something earlier this year and mentioned it on the forum. Several responses were that the items were fraudulent - they are not really from the Castle. I got candlesticks and they were in good condition, but absolutely the filthiest things I ever saw. I cannot vouch for the authenticity of his items, but thought it was worth mentioning.

Cindy...you are so right. I and a few other Ex-Castle empolyees have had quite the laugh at the items being sold as 'Castle Dracula' stuff. The funniest was the Front Door knockers...Castle Drac never HAD a knocker on the doors!! If you got candlesticks that were from the Castle, they waould have to be pretty dirty..they went though a fire and before that they sat in a very dusty building. (I'm just surprised how MANY things survived the fire!!)
