Does anybody remember this place around 17th & Surf? It was a really kool pizza place with a big arcade, but I don't know what's there now, or exactly where it was. Thanks for the help!

That would be Johnny's Pizza. He also had a Laundromat and an arcade before he went the Gift Shop route the last few years he owned it. He sold it to this brother Sammy(Samuel's Pancake House) a few years ago. Sammy leveled the buildings in Sept 2004. Now he's very slowing building condo's on the site. I've recently heard that the landscaping is in, but the interiors aren't completed.

Why does everything have to be condos? It seems like all the businesses are taking the easy way out and building condos! I'm sure Crazyaboutwildwood (Mike) would be upset about a pizza place torn down to make way for more boring condos! He owns a pizza place in Pottstown, PA you know. Out with the old, in with the new is the motto in WW today. Unfortunately the "new" is just more of the same thing over and over. Private residences. All of the old charm (old fashioned buildings, old bars, restaurants, doo-wop) is being erased for sterile, sanitized condos! It just won't stop!

There was a place in Glassboro called John's Wildwood Pizza my freshman year of college. You could drink all night, get back to the dorm at 3:30 in the morning, pick up the phone and they would deliver a cheesesteak until 4 AM. At least once I was out before the guy knocked on the door...still kinda feel bad about that.
Was this the same family?
