Mike, The Surf Haven is alive and well, it's sits across the street from me. As I type this I can see that very same sign. Carl the owner is opening for business beginning next week!

Thanks Re. I just went to there website! I hope this one stays on surf ave!!!! I think it's safe for this year and maybe next. After that I'm not sure. The Surf 16 added a new sign over the winter but it's just a sign, not a neon beauty.

I love the Surf Haven. Have stayed there a few times over the years, and have always had a great time.
It's neon sign is a real beauty, hopefully it will get more attention now.

You don't see too many shots of the Packard with it's neon sign lit up at night. I'll always regret not snapping a shot like this before it went...
