If anyone has not yet seen either of these special documentaries featured on various PBS television networks in New Jersey and Pennsylvania try to get hold of BOARDWALK: GREETINGS FROM WILDWOOD BY THE SEA from Longshore Films (2003 ) and available through the Wildwood Chamber of Commerce (WildwoodGifts.com) or at the Wildwood Historical Society which, if anyone hasn't visited, SHOULD be visited and supported through donations. This is the place where most our memories are archived and preserved for future generations.
Also the excellent WILDWOOD DAYS available through Travisty Productions (2004) where the proceeds go to support NJN public television network which supported the initial airing of the award winning special last summer. I'll post the website here where this great documentary can be purchased directly through the lady who produced it ASAP.
Both documentaries are available on VHS and DVD and are a must have for anyone who recalls, loves, and cares about The Wildwoods!

Saw them on PBS. Brought back many memories. Interesting that they never produced one about ocean city , stone harbor, or avalon. The wildwoods are very special as we all know.

Good point Beachboy...and something to think about. Many NJ communities have been "homogenized" by developers, but few have stirred such emotion as the Wildwoods. Another mid-century vacation community to get such support is Treasure Beach in Florida. They are ripping down funky 50's architecture left and right down there too....and the public isn't please, yet feel their hands are tied.
