Considering how new and modern the Montego Bay is I have seen less than nice things said about it on trip advisor.

My daughter stayed there (Montego Bay) last yr and didn't have one nice thing to say about it. From sloppy room service, dusty and dirty hallways to a pool that smelled. She wouldn't stay there again!

My wife, b4 our marraige, stayed @ The Maple Leaf w/several girlfriends and had a run-in w/the owner. They accused him of "peeping" on them. I was away protecting democracy at the time (1966) and heard all about it via letters. In later yrs she always made a comment about her experience whenever we passed it. Anybody remember the "Marianne" or "The Notre Dame". When I was small we stayed at a rooming house on 20th(?) called "The Rosalinda". It was clean and the people were great. Big porch where the parents would sit out on at night and I remember the wind blowing the lace curtains in the bdrm as I tried to fall asleep hearing the noises from the boardwalk.

And a final note: My wife and I got married in 1969 and Honeymooned @ The Swan in WC. We ate at Mariner's Landing, Duffy's and Zaberer's. It was like a holiday in Maui for 2 kids from K&A. (We r still 2gether!...but the Swan, Mariner's, Duffy's and Zaberer's r gone)

I also heard bad things about the food service at the Montego via Trip Advisor.

The food at Adams (the restaurant at Montego) was actually good. Service was ok! But don't waste your money if you think you will be at a nice hotel. During our stay the room was dirty, there were stains on the ceiling and door from a leak, and the towels had stains on them - that was when they actually gave you towels. I hope you like taking the stairs - the elevator is terrible - you could actually wait more than 10 minutes for it to come to your floor. We complained and got no where.

We ate at Adam's our last trip for breakfast, I had no complaints from anyone at our table. The food was fast & good, the place was very clean. Didn't get into the hotel though. I'll keep these comments in mind if my husband ever considers Montego Bay, thanks!

Its a shame that a "newer" motel is kept in such poor shape.

I think the food at Adam's stinks! Ate there once and will NEVER go back!
