I remember Hunt's having pennants, but nothing that resembled this at all.

I'm 55 and I remember the penants - this one looks vaguely familiar. The seller seems to be Ship Bottom Antiques in Long Beach Island, so they sound legit. If I were interested in bidding on this, I might call information and ask for the phone number of the Antique Store and ask about it. But I do remember these penants. Back in the 50's and early 60's - and probably before I was born - souvenir penants were a big thing in the Wildwoods. A few bdwk games even offered them as prizes, I think. This one looks to be from the late 50's or there abouts. Just a guess! Thom

My advice: If you like it, buy it! I have a collector plate that has similar images on it. That was a popular type of souvenir from that era. Plus, I do a lot of Ebaying, under the same screen name I use here on DWPL, and that seller has 100% positive feedback. That's a good sign that he or she is not a ripoff. I also looked at the other items they have for auction and they seem to deal in a lot of old collectable stuff. Hope this helps!

I wouldn't call it a "Hunt's pennant" because it's more WW themed... I saw this on eBay too. It looks like it's made out of felt and the "green" color seems faded.
Also, did anyone see a Hunt's postcard for sale; with a starting price of $25.00??
