Am I the only one who is interested in just hotels/motels in general? I have a lot of weird interests...trains,boats,hotels,amusement parks. Do you think we should have seperate board on other motels/hotels, Atlantic City,Asbury Park, and Route 66 have a lot of neat motels.

good idea Chuck.. I too, being an Engineer, love old hotels.. I love to look closly to see hoiw they were built and the details of the building.. Very interesting. I lvove to see old broken down left for ruin ones too.. very interesting. Like last month when my wife and I were in the Poconas for a long weekend we came upon a old BIG resort called pocono gardens that was closed and left for ruin. I tried to stop to get out and investigate but she wanted no part lol. When I did a search on th enet I found that it was closed in 99 because thre owner committed suicide and a person drown in the pool! It is sopossed haunted! I was so mad that we did not get out to look

You are not alone.... My interest in the Wildwoods is largely because of the numerous motels. However, I became interested in vintage motels because of my history in Wildwood! Whenever I find a book on motel history/culture I read it. I collect vintage motel cards and whenever I see a vintage motel I photograph it. Not sure where I'm going with this obsession...but, it is that. An obsession. Just love those motels. There are quite a few websites that feature vintage motels and/or motel signage as I'm sure you are well aware.

It would be so interesting to have a separate forum for hotels/motels outside of WW. For example, the New Hope area inns could be in there (speaking of haunted...)
