What a great place. Spent hours in the building re living memories and enjoying the past. My Great Uncle and Aunt owned a small restaurant in Anglesea back in the early 1920's and found a picture of my Uncle hanging in the museum. Felt very proud. My roots will always be in Wildwood. Every one should visit that museum and look thru the many photo albums and memorbilia. That would make a great meeting place for the doo wop league. Set a date and have fun . A day at the museum. Any feedback on this idea would be great. :)P.S. Mr. Bright knew my Great Uncle George personally and had such a history about my family that once lived in Anglesea. That's how I found the picture in the museum. Mr. Bright said that his family were the neighbors of my Great Uncle and Aunt. What a small world.

I had not really sat down in there and checked things out til a freind came to visit a few years ago..as we went through some photos, I found..Me! A picture of me from my Castle days I didn't know existed! They made a copy for me, and I added it to my Castle Drac. Scrapebook. That place is a treasure trove of WW history!

I went WAY off season and got to spend about 2 hours talking to the museum guide, who must have been 90 plus years old and a WEALTH of knowledge about all things Wildwood. I spend hours browsing the many photo albums from all generations of Wildwood. And yes, I left a donation

That older man is Mr. Robert Bright, Sr...If there is anyone who knows Wildwood history it's Mr. Bright or his son Robert Bright, Jr who also works there at the Boyer Museum.
I've never asked them a Wildwood question where they didn't know the answer or were unable to get the answer for me!
By chance was their dog "Buddy" there that day?

I always try to visit both Mr. Brights a few times over the summer but more so it seems in the off-season. I always bring Buddy some treats.
It's a great place to do something on boring winter days down there. I pretty much know those big binders by heart now!

According to Mr.Boardwalk (aka Anthony), once you get a copy of photo from the musuem you own the rights to it. Feel free to post it on the Internet and credit yourself for it Contessa.

Anthony... Yes, thats the man! And, the dog was there too. This was a couple years ago...I'm scared to ask, is he still around? He was so nice and excited to give us the detailed history on everything...from Depression era Wildwood to the Motel era and the current changes which are the focus of the Preservation League. Literally, there must have been 500+ photo albums chock full of photos from the Victorian hotels to the present...including the assembly and demolition of many boardwalk rides held near and dear to the hearts of most of us. I could have spent the entire day listening to him, but my friend maxed out after an hour or so .

If Bright Sr. is that old, you better enjoy him while you can, you never know how long we'll have him, not too many people make it to 100. Someone should take a few photos in there and post them here, especially the boardwalk area with Anthony's Castle Dracula, Golden Nugget and Whacky Shack models. Those were probably the best dark rides in Wildwood. I have a new game Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and I made a Wildwood Boardwalk and Amusement Piers in it. I started Hunt's Pier the way it was before '89, not much else on the other piers. I would like to do a "historical" version, circa 1980 and a "present-future" version, 2005-2006. This game is in full 3D and you can ride all the rides, including dark rides which you can build from scratch. Of course the Tram Cars will be in it. (a monorail train that looks like the Tram Cars) There's castle theming with walls and pieces that look just like Castle Dracula, so I can build a virtual castle and even have an MP3 of Tocatta and Fugue D minor play in the game at the castle as part of a ride, like the Dungeon boat. There's a standing Dracula that pops out of a coffin stunt as part of the scary/horror theming.
