Al, Your the man! Congrats! I wish you the best! I never said this but I got engaged in wildwood on november 1st. Its been 8 years for me. Anyway this is about you Al. I wish the both of you the best of luck! Mike C Congrats to you also Mike! Awesome!!! So, exactly where and "how" did you get engaged in Wildwood? Thanks Al, The plan was to get engaged on Halloween night. As I said before October is my favorite month of the year. We have our haunt behind the pizza shop and this is always my best month of the year with the cash flow! I actually used the money I made from the haunt to buy my girlfriends heart shaped diamond with sapphires and diamonds! ( she loves it) This is the way we wanted it. So by the time we left pottstown, we did not get into wildwood till around midnight on halloween.( by the way I loved the chris angel special on tv halloween night! ) We stayed at the Bolero and had a nice breakfast the next morning and then I gave her the ring when we went back up to our room. She was not expecting it untill Dinner time but I always like to do things different! So thats how it happened. I paid the balance of the ring on halloween day before our haunt opened. So after our crazy busy month with the shop and the haunt ,This was our week to spend alone in Wildwood and celebrate!!!!!

Took me a bit to get to this thread Al, but definately the best of wishes. You know what would really make it? Groff's catering to the event! Picture it... instead of a normal cliche chicken/steak choices, guests get the pick of a delicious Chicken a la Maryland, Roast Turkey (Just like mom used to make, of course) Ham with raisen cider sauce, or [insert your favorite Groff's meal here].

The Bolero is pushing wedding receptions! They always let us know when we are there.

my congratulations to both you and Angie. My husband and I will be married 20 years this August. I wish you the best. If you had decided on June 6, that was my late grandmothers birthday who loved wildwood!
My best to both of you.

Once again, Angie and I would like to sincerely thank everyone for all of the kind words and well wishes! Well, one day to go before the wedding, and I'm actually feeling kind of nervous! ;D I don't know why exactly, I think it's just the build-up and the anxiety of getting to the moment and all. Just for the record, any and everyone here is invited to come if you would like and are able. This all came together rather quickly, and, admittedly, isn't the best planned wedding ever. But, if you knew Angie and I, it's very fitting that way. The ceremony will be at the Philadelphia Wedding Chapel, located at 8100 Frankford Ave at 7 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday) night. The "reception" will be at the Dining Car (oh, how fitting), a few miles north at 8826 Frankford Ave at roughly 8:30 p.m. Everything will be incredibly informal. I'm still trying to decide on which Hawaiian shirt in my collection to wear, in fact. ;D Thanks again, everyone!

Hey Al, Since you are big on movie quotes, I'll give you one from "Scent of a Woman" where he was referring to Charlie telling on the other guys: "once you do, you will take your place in that long grey line of American manhood. and you will be.. through" Hey, don't sweat it, Congratulations!
