Hi Everybody!! Who likes the snow?? I hated it this morning trying to get to work. Anybody who lives in PA and drives Route 100 is crazy me included. Nothing was plowed, not major roads, not back roads. What were they thinking? Oh well, a white Christmas season we are having. How did everybody fare today? Hopefully safely. How were your roads? This has definately been a hot chocolate day.

Hate the snow. Stayed home. I like a day off, but I'd rather have to go to work and have it not snow...

I used to live on one of those sidestreets of Pottstown... Dealing with it, especially in 1996 during the ice storms was the biggest headache and other ache somewhere else on the body.

Oh PLEASE let the Ocean temps stay warm enough so we don't get an ice storm!!!When we lived in Arkansas, we had an ice storm just after Christmas..no electric for 4 days! No heat for 4 days!! We started burning the Xmas tree in the fireplace. Hubby's boss came and got us took us to his house for the duration. I hate ice and snow. So glad that most of that stuff is (usually)inland and not right here at the shore. Brrrrrr.....

I love snow. The more the better.
I don't know what it is, but I just don't mind the long, treacherous commutes to work, the shoveling, the messy aftermath, and all the other good stuff that comes along with it.
I just become a kid again when the flaky white stuff starts to fall. And I never get tired of it.
I'm sure I'm in the minority here (and just about everywhere else, apparently).

No not really al. There are still lots of people that love the snow and this time of the year. What i like about it is that it slows down this high paced world for a short while.

I wish I could like it Al, as I once did. I always liked summer best, but when I was younger I enjoyed the snow too. The winters of '94, then '96, with the seemingly continuous snow, really burned me out on it, probably forever. The only pleasure I got out of the snow in recent years was my dog Biaggio (who died this summer) loved it. He would jump around through it, put his face in it, etc. I liked that he liked it (does that sound right?), but that was the only good thing about the snow for me. Now with each passing day, month, year, I love the summer more and hate the winter more. I tolerate it around this time of year, but once Christmas and the decorations/lights/etc. go away, and everything gets really dead, I'd rather hibernate thru March, and then sleep less in the summer.

I absolutely agree with everything you said MMM. I have 2 dogs and one of them loves the snow. Doesn't want to come in just plays and buries himself in it. I always tell people that from New Year's Day til April 1st I am in a cocoon.

Biaggio used to like to bury his face in the snow, sometimes really packing his face into it. He really loved it. My Sasha that I have now doesn't seem to have a problem with the snow, and likes to eat it, but isn't really interested in jumping around through it, at least so far. They're both Bouvier Des Flandres.

Martin, what a beautiful breed. Our Golden Retrivers always loved the snow, but then they also loved the beach(when they were allowed) and swimming in the Ocean. ;D I have 6 Grandpuppies, 2 Bassets who love the snow, they live in North Dakota. (good they do, LOL)The other 4 are German Sheppards who live here in North Carolina and hate the snow, LOL(if you can call what we get a real snow) re

Nice to hear someone knows what Bouviers are, Marie. Most people seem to say "is that a bear" "a buffalo" "Bouva who?", etc. Golden Retrievers - "happy dogs". They almost always seem to be smiling when I see one. Was the sand in Wildwood a problem with getting in their fur, since the sand here is so fine? There's two German Shepards down the street from me, one of them white. The Bassett Hounds are nice too - they're bigger than a lot of people realize, I guess since they have short legs.
