Why isn't "Touched" on this list? Also, indirectly: Kevin Bacon was in Footloose and he used to work in the Wildwoods Thom

I just bought Eddie and the Cruisers on Ebay, and part 2 also! Now I will find out what is what? They should be here in a couple of days. Someone mentioned part 2 having Wildwood Scenes? Was that Al?

maybe it was in part 2. I do know that I did not think the part 2 was nearly as good as part 1.

I only saw the first one once shortly after it came out, and didn't Eddie die (or at least disappear) at the end (but then they show some mysterious figure looking at a TV in the store window at the end, I suppose suggesting that it is him). I assume then they resurrect him for the sequel? No wonder it flopped.

Don't forget on the show American Dreams they visited wildwood. Don't recall if they shot any footage though.

Oh I really liked American Dreams and was when it was cancelled. They were from Philly so of course their beach of choice was WW.

As a teenager during the Eddie and the Cruisers time, and a Wildwood junkie. I believe that the EBB Tide Motel in Wildwood is where they stayed and the Sax man died of OD, in the movie. On the roof top is where they composed the movie's theme On The Dark Side. Every time I see the movie, even though most of it was shot in other surrounding beach towns. The energy is the NJ sound i.e. Springsteen, South Side Johnny, and it always brings me back to the Wildwood days, and Those Wild SUmmer Nights!

From what I can remember of part 1 (never bothered to see 2), there is a mention that the female lead singer was "working as a dancer in a show in Wildwood" or something like that. I think Frank's right: there was no filming in Wildwood but I think the exterior shot of the motel room where the sax player OD'd was actually from The Suitcase motel in NW. At least that's what I'd heard at some point...

OK, so there was nothing else that caught my eye at the video rental store last night so I went ahead and rented "Eddie and The Cruisers" Part 1. Looks like there is an Ebb Tide motel in the movie, but it's not the one (formerly) in Wildwood. The exterior shots also don't look like The Suitcase. Here's a screen shot from the movie... Rich
