Just got in from seeing pirates of the caribbean on the beach with the girlfriend, Joann. If you get a chance, go check out a movie on the beach. Its much better then a theater, if you ask me. $8 per person, and the food is very reasonable. Were going to go next week too!

I noticed they had a blow up type screen on the beach when I was down. Do they still have the big screen down by the Convention Center?

Movies on the beach is a great idea. Did they just start that this year...I don't remember ever hearing about it.

Its cool being on the beach at night, looking back at the boardwalk, and hearing the crashing of the waves in the background.

Does everyone rent the $3.00 chairs or can you bring a blanket to sit on?

Does everyone rent the $3.00 chairs or can you bring a blanket to sit on? Alot of people rented the chairs, but we brought our own. You can also bring a blanket if you want.

Every night, weather permitting. My daughter and I saw 'Pirates' down there...had a blast. We had seen the movie the first weekend it was out, but loved the idea of seeing a pirate flick on the beach right by the water. Took our camp chairs, a bunch of snacks and couple of cans of soda. One thing...if you take a blanket or the rent the beach chairs...make sure no one with the large chairs gets in front of you. We watched one family spread their blanket, get the kiddies all ready for the movie, and a couple with chairs like mine(the big camp chairs) got right in front of them..the family had to move went the show started cause they couldn't see over the other couple.

Thanks for the tip since we'll probably be going with a small group of kids. It really sounds like fun! Can't Wait!
