Are you going down the last weekend in September? Yes i am for a week. It's the last week before all the shops close for the season! All the tie shirt shops sell everything for dirt cheap also. And as for the Monster Truck races, you can't beat there show. I have not missed a show in years. Are you going also? For a week??!! Lucky! We are only going for the weekend (but I am not complaining) we are staying at the Lotus.

I was there for the very first Monster Truck weekend. Has the seating improved for these events? When we were there, they only had a small reserved seating area. We had to stand the whole time, and if I remember corectly, there was two rows of fencing between us and the race course, so it was not the best viewing situation for spectators with little kids. If things are better now, we would like to go again this year.

My family sits at the very top so we can see everything. Tickets are 16 in advanced and 18 on the spot.Last year i got to talk with Gary Porter the driver of my favorite truck (Grave Digger) also i took many pictures of his truck and seen how they build them because i want to build a truck myself!

Okay, Thanks for the info! I am working on a couple of people to go to this with me. If we go it will have to be the Sunday noon time show.

My first trip with my 4-month old son--got to start him young!!! Wow, video, 17 people! That should be a blast! We had 15 over Memorial Weekend at the Bolero and that was a great time; the more, the merrier! And, congrats on the birth of your son, my friend! My son was also 4-months old when he made his first trip to the Wildwoods. I'm telling you, it adds a whole new dimension to the Wildwood experience to pass along the tradition to a new member of the family. Just wait until you see the gleam in his eyes when he sees all of the bright lights and non-stop action on the Boardwalk. It will be a moment (and a vacation) to cherish forever!

Frank, I'm envious of you, my man. I just got back from a great weekend in Wildwood, but, hey, you can never have too much of a great thing, right? Have an awesome time at the Shalimar!

Like Al said you WILL see WW in a new light thru your Sons eyes. its even better then thru your own.. And enjoy it. Make sure no matter what you do it every year.. before you know it he will grow up and it will end.. We figure we have maybe 2 more years before our Son is gonna want to bring his friends... We are also gonna do the doo wop bus tour and the movie on the beach thing ... can ya tell Im a planning type of person? lol Despite all the recent losses, there are still so many highlights that you don't want to miss on a major Wildwoods visit. I think it's good to have a plan, as long as it isn't overdeveloped Hey, would you mind telling what some of your favorite breakfast spots are? I was spoiled by the Reges coffee shop for so many years--man, that chef was a consummate pro. Even when I stopped staying at the Reges (for, ahem, budgetary reasons) I used to go down there for breakfast. I was devastated when they told me the chef had gone back to Greece about four years ago. Several people on tripadvisor.com had mentioned the Adventurer so I went there last year, and enjoyed it very much. Where else is good for breakfast? I like that idea Frank... the trip down is so much a part of the experience. (The trips back, I'm sure we'd all just as soon forget.) For me, it was counting down those Garden State Parkway miles and exits--what an odyssey for a little kid, all the way from Exit 153!--but your route sounds much more fun than the boring old GSP. Hope you get a beautiful day for your trip.
