Hey, would you mind telling what some of your favorite breakfast spots are? I was spoiled by the Reges coffee shop for so many years--man, that chef was a consummate pro. Even when I stopped staying at the Reges (for, ahem, budgetary reasons) I used to go down there for breakfast. I was devastated when they told me the chef had gone back to Greece about four years ago. It's a little longer than that. His name was Ted, and his wife Kathy woud often be there with him (and eventually their kids). He did a great job, and they were nice people. I think he was there for about 11-12 years, and the business hasn't been the same since. It's decent enough now, but... I'm not a breakfast person, but I can vouch for how well he ran the cafe for lunch. On a Friday or Saturday, Ted would often have a line behind the inner take out window that would stretch down to right near the rear of the Motel, by the lobby.

Hoping to get to WW for the Monster Trucks on Oct.1st. All we can afford this summer is day trips. Already had a day at the beach at O.C., spent most of it in the ocean! Talk to you later.

I guess you're right Martin, now that I think harder... maybe '98 or '99... where does the time go? Yes, pretty blonde with the same name as myself, how could I forget? She was always very kind to us, and Ted always had a smile for customers too, though he worked so hard in that kitchen we never saw him much. We looked forward to seeing how their kids had grown each season. Right. Sorry to hear they haven't found a worthy successor yet. Thanks for sharing a fond memory...
