I don't know if i'm the only one to notice this but there are parking meters placed on both sides of where the enterance to the Captain's Table was. I am guessing that ww crest will try to squeeze whatever money it can out of people during the time it takes to build those new condos. I am also guessing they are only temp meters and will be removed once the condos are finshed.

I am guessing that ww crest will try to squeeze whatever money it can out of people during the time it takes to build those new condos. I am also guessing they are only temp meters and will be removed once the condos are finshed. it depends on how the new sidewalk is laid out and what parking is available to the new condos. (Whether parking is onsite, etc). Obviously, parking meters can't be placed in front of driveways. In defense of Wildwood Crest. The borough has lost an enormous amount of parking meters with all the new construction. Any city has to have a source of income to help pay for all its services and parking meters, although they may be a pain in the neck to us, are an important source of revenue. Just think, for example, of the new nature park the borough is going to construct on that vacant two block lot on Ocean Avenue beginning in October. It will take money to pay the groundskeepers to mow it, etc. And parking meters help. And besides, I guess I'd rather pay a buck and a half for a short time to park rather than $15 at some overpriced lot where you have to pay the whole amount even if you only use it for a couple of hours. Even though they've raised the price (or should I say shortened the duration per 25 cents), I don't see an issue with the added meters. Finding an available metered parking space on a Saturday in the summer can sometimes be difficult, so I welcome the extras. We could have been stuck with a yellow curb there...

Ha, you should live where I do. I think it's awful when tourists don't know where to park and then they have to park at a meter. Lo and behold, you come back and have a ticket! Nice vacation, huh? The amount of money they make here, they should have at least free parking. At least if you pay to park for the day, you don't have to worry about getting back to your car. Charlston, SC is the same way; there's no place to park and meter-maids are everywhere, just waiting to get you!
