In the winter we live in North Carolina, so it's our way of getting to The Wildwoods, My Haven. We travel up thought Norfolk then via the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel along the Eastern Shore of VA, MD and finally Delaware to Lewes.
Anyone been to the Outlets in Delaware, have looked a few times in our travels, but not sure I would call that a bargain shoppers paradis?
I always enjoy my "cruise" across the bay. even our Cat, Misty is sea worthy.
The Ferry has always been a way to get to Wildwood quicker. That's why I get my 6 pack tickets and deal with the no cooked food on the ships. They opened a Wawa w/gas not far from the terminal. We stop there get our hoagie fix(to go), fill up and get on the Ferry. We dine as we cruise the Delaware Bay. Lovely,

Yes the water can be rough especially in the winter months. It is a relaxing ride if you're not proned to seasickness. wildre

The Ferry is great! We go to Williamsburg on vacation in the middle of Oct. after the Park my hubby works at closes, and we always take the Ferry...it's best to make reservations, cause you get to be the first ones on. The trip has never made any of us ill, but then we don't get seasick...which is good..would hate to have a sick 14 year old in a car for the 4 1/2 to 5 hours after we got to the other side
The last time we came back on the Ferry, we got the GOOD one..the Twin Capes I think, and it has just a great veiw from the bar up top.
The Outlets are pretty cool..and there is no sales tax in DE. My daughter's best friend and her mom go over to do the family school shopping in Aug.

The 1st couple of years when I paid to park, they would always tell me to double park or put me in a exclusive spot! It was real nice of them!
