I Love Wildwood

I'm 32 miles away.i live by a lake and trees are down all over the place.Electric has bin out since the storm. rt 47 going to wildwood was closed last night.I wanted to see what has happened there. I always said if The Big One ever came It would truly be the END of wildwood! I'm going to see if i can get down there today.

when i heard the report on the news about gail force winds in Wildwood Nj i dropped what i was doing just to see where in wildwood these winds were and when i saw the Montego Bay's roof partly gone then when they showed the pic of the condo down i was like WOW good thing my hubby and i changed are plans about going down we were going to be staying at the montego now i'm thanking god we didn't go. Hope everyone is ok.

I heard Virginia really got hit hard. Saw alot of it on the news. So did anyone get in to see Wildwood?

Wildwood roads have flooded in major (and not-so-major) storms for as long as I can remember. Part of the thrill of a week in Wildwood is experiencing a thunderstorm and watching the streets fill with water. Of course, it always recedes a few hours later.
I remember seeing that building under reconstruction- sad that the storm claimed it. At least the other damage on the island was minimal. Unless some under construction condos were claimed...
