Anyone ever go? Is it too intense for my little guys (3yr twins) They got scared at the Hershey 3d show so I don't know if they can deal with the haunted thing although my little girl laughed at the monsters in Fright Fest my son was kind of neutral with them. But they do like that zombie skeleton guy in front of zombie world.

Oh, you mean Elaine’s, right? It’s tough to say. The show has a very playful atmosphere, but I don’t know whether or not it would be too intense for a pair of 3-year-olds. I would normally say that if the kids had no problem looking at the giant Zombie World creature, they should be fine. Then again, the way the seating is at Elaine’s, it can be a bit “cramped.” I’m not saying that it is uncomfortable or anything, but if the kids do get scared, there really isn’t anywhere to, uh, escape to. It’s a fairly “boxed in” environment. This, as opposed to the Boardwalk, where if you are scared by something like that giant creature, all you really have to do is look the other way or just keep walking. I hate to give you a non-answer, but it really is a rather tough call. The show itself is a lot of fun (in a campy way), and the food is pretty good. I would recommend Elaine’s to anyone, at face value.

For those interested... I feel that the "ghost tour" after dinner at Elaine's leaves a lot to be desired. They usually have one of the young staffers (teenagers) leading the tour. Two years ago, we had a girl from Ireland. She seemed nice enough, but she clearly wasn’t comfortable with public speaking, and wanted to get through the “tour” as quickly as possible. At one point on the tour, the Elaine’s tour guide stops and points down a really neat looking street (can’t remember the name, sorry; my source for details of Cape May is quite limited). At any rate, the guide tells you that “This is the most haunted street in Cape May… But, we won’t be going down there tonight.” And, the whole thing just moves on. I later found out that “The Original Haunted Cape May Tour,” the more “legitimate” ghost tour organization in town, has the market cornered there. Check out their website: www.hauntednewjersey.com/tours.htmWe haven’t had the chance to do the Haunted New Jersey tour yet, but I’m hoping to do so at some point this summer.
