This BB has really taken off for the amount of time it has been around. The only problem I see is it's hard to find where you left off in a subject. As the board gets bigger I see this becoming a major problem.
If you go to the MLB basesall sites the BB's have an icon that shows what topics you have read and when you log in it brings you back to just the unread posts

I participate on a number of message boards (including MLB) that provide this feature, and, as JIMD indicated, it is a very effective tool for helping you keep your place in conversation.
All indications are that this board will continue to grow (which is great!), so perhaps this is an option that Mike D can look into…

I would suggest getting better forum software when we get bigger. Im the Asst. Admin of a paintball forum (www.pb-addict.com) and we are currently using phpbb. The best forum software that I know of is probably Invision. Neither are free though, but once you buy it, it's yours forever. I believe phpbb is like 90$ but the amount of features and customization are much better than proboards, and it looks much more professional. Phpbb comes in a free version I believe, but you will still have tons of ads around. If you want to see what Phpbb generally looks like (remember, it can be completely customized) take a look at www.pb-addict.com The server may be down now so if it dosent work try again later.

I belong to some other Forums, and if any changes are to come here, I've found that vBulletin is very nice in my experience as a member on Forums that use it.
