Going back to the updated sound system, I hope they play more than 1 song. Have you noticed that? The one year we were there they played that song "I'm a b***h, I'm a lover" over and over and over. I have small kids and they really don't need to hear that.

Just a question.....when is the Hunts Pier site going to be up and running? Well, I was hoping the site would be up and running by now but a lot has happened in the past few months. (With the holidays, being sick for most of December, creating my own Christmas / New Years / Holiday Card, starting a new job, working on logos for my sister's business, etc., I honestly haven't had the time I wanted to devote to building the Hunt's Pier website.) I need to update the home page and put up a more realistic launch date; which will more than likely be Spring/Summer 2006. I know that everyone is anxious to see it but as a designer, I can't "throw" something together overnight and be happy with it. It's going to take me a few months to do the things "I want to do" and I hope the end result will be something you all enjoy. Thanks so much for the interest and I apologize for the delay. -Kristen I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Good luck with the site, Kristen.

Hi, Kristen, I have many memories of your family's pier. I am so glad our father took us to Wildwood in the early 80's between 1980-1983 a few times which would have been during the time Bud Hunt owned it. I was between 6-9 years old at the time. We rode almost all the dark rides and the ghost town train. My father passed away in Mar. 1986. I will always have that memory riding the Golden Nugget, Keystone Kops, Jungleland, Train, and walking through the Pirate Ship with him. I have an original Hunt's Pier brochure I found on ebay about two years ago. In fact, the seller was none other than Anthony himself from the Wildwood Boardwalk Site. It's a real shame that Bud had to sell it in late 1985 like he did, guess he was getting up in age and felt it was time to retire. The next owners after Bud didn't care, a few years later they demolished the Flyer, Jungleland, and Pirate Ship for a bunch of new stuff including the Kamikaze coaster which was built on the former spot of the Pirate Ship Skua. Even that operation, the New Hunt's Pier didn't last. Dino Beach didn't last, either. I guess that pier is cursed. I built a "virtual" Hunt's Pier and Wildwood in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. You can ride the rides. There's so much info out now that I was able to make most of the rides accurate. It is unfinished. It will also include Castle Dracula, Fun Pier, Sportland, Morey's, etc. Can't wait for the Hunt's website, Kristen.

Crippled and Dark Ride- I seriously doubt that Anthony is taking memorabilia from the Boyer Museum. It's possible it was from his own personal collection... as for me, my mother has a huge stack of various Hunt's Pier brochures that she got from my grandfather. -Kristen

But Anthony was only a baby during Hunt's Pier hayday....and his family never worked there.
