Wow, I wasn't even born yet in the 60's. Neither were you. Also a nice postcard of the train - cgi.ebay.com/Train-Ghost-Town-Iron-Horse-Hunts-Pier-Wildwood-NJ_W0QQitemZ300000699444QQihZ020QQcategoryZ20224QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem that wouldn't happen to be you bidding on it, Kristen? The high bidder is kristen773. I found some nice postcards on there. I have one that has a green background, says Wildwood, New Jersey on the bottom, and has three pics of Hunt's, one of Jungleland and Log Flume on the left, and two small ones of the front of the pier at night and day and under then says Hunt's Pier. And on the back, Rides, Games, Restaurants and Shops are all to be found on Hunt's Pier - fun for everyone. It's a nice card, I think it's from the early 80's when your grandfather owned it. I have a few other nice ones. Plus an original Hunt's Pier brochure from 1982 or 1983. What kind of stuff do you have, Kristen? Oh, what restaurants and shops did Hunt's have like the back of the postcard said? I don't remember any restaurants or shops on the pier.

What kind of dark ride was "monster's den" on marine pier?

It was a ride through like Dante's from what I've seen on Anthony's site you can see pretzel carts in one of the views of the ride. There was also a walk-through attached to it called Vampire's Cave. Morey's must have torn it down when they bought the pier in '76. I guess the Hitchcock Manor was built there then in 1978.

Not to change the subject but why didnt the Nickels try to buy the east side of marine pier in 76? I wonder if early on they had plans to build the castle?
