I always dress nice when we go to the boardwalk. Not super dressy.. but still nice. I always have. Back when I would vacation with my family, we always spent the day on the beach, then came back and took showers and got all ready for the boardwalk at night. I remember taking forever to get ready when I was a teenager. [/quote] I HEAR YA!!! We thought we were soooooo hot. Going on the boards without the parents was a real rite of passage. But even as a teenager, you just couldln't get me off those rides. Well...good to see so much like-mindedness here about the dress thing. Didn't want you all to think I was being a snob. ;D

I would think that with the more "Upscale" look of the Wildwoods, you will see more folks looking / dressed like Business People even just on an average day in the Future because of the Salaries these Folks make. My view of Business People would be dressed in Casual Attire (For the Guys: a Dress Shirt or Golf Shirt with Kakhi Pants and Dressy Shoes. For the Ladies: A Dress Blouse, Dress Pants or Skirt, and Dressy Shoes. I would think that w/ the Salary they make, it doesn't matter if they spoil their clothes because they can afford to buy more). Eventually, I would think that "The Street Look" (or Thugs) will change because they look out of place (Look like they are asking for trouble) and can be sorted out easily by the Police who will be able to keep a Closer eye on them (I guess a Clash of the Classes in this case). Here's another view on this. You have the Teenagers & Young Adults who in my Opinion, look like they are too lazy to pull up their pants (Advertising their Underwear Brand / Style - hanging out). This also includes the Girls (Thongs up their back - Asking for Sex? /Drawing attention to themselves). The Style of dress looks like they are asking for Trouble. I guess this could be called "The Rebellious Generation" (Self Expression for Independence) for our modern times I guess (rebelling aganist their parents - if their parents even knew What & Where their Children are). Again, I would think that these Stereo Types may change eventually since you will have more Families renting an Expensive House (Parents, Teens, & Kids) instead of renting a Modest Cost Room (just several Teens/Young Adults-no parents). Different Strokes for Different Folks I Guess. Now me, I usually wear a T-shirt (no offensive decals), Jeans or Dressy Pants, Sneakers, and a Baseball Cap sometimes (Protection from the Sun & Segulls). I am just your avarage person; no money to burn (just along for the ride). ***I also don't mean to offend anyone in my descriptions of folks. People dress the way they Choose, that isn't up to me. I guess you could call it Cultural Diversity with all the different styles of dress you see. Some of the styles we could do without but nevertheless, the different styles help make the Atmosphere of Wildwood, NJ what it is; a Resort for Everyone to Enjoy! *** Andy PS. Also Remember, Everyone puts their Clothes on the Same way- One Limb at a Time - Rich or Poor (in my Opinion) Andy

I remember taking forever to get ready when I was a teenager. Absolutely, the beach, back to the motel, and all out dress-up for the boards. I still look good for the night time boardwalk.

I remember bell bottoms, flipflops, and halter tops... oh of course a beaded bag or one made of leather wrapped around neck and coming around body and other arm. Not how girls wear today...
