Hi Everybody. I attended the Liberty Medal ceremony last night. This year, the medals were given to former Presidents Bush and Clinton. "41" and "42", as Bush affectionately refers to himself and Clinton, received the honor for their charity work after the disastrous tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. The ceremony was held at the National Constitution Center. If you have never been to the Center, I would recommend going. It is a top notch facility with interactive displays. You can vote for your favorite president in a replica voting booth, preside on the Supreme Court, or take the Presidential Oath of Office. In addition, the Center offers a wide range of special events and programs (often for free or a nominal fee). Here is a link to their website: www.constitutioncenter.org/index.shtmlI am still buzzing from last night's festivities. We were fortunate enough to have seats in the 14th row. The ceremony aired on the local ABC affiliate. I watched the tape and the back of my head is shown about a dozen times. Quite a thrill. My brother was spotted on the local news. I thought that I would share some pictures with all of you.

This was an outside event, so the surrounding buildings had snipers on the roofs. Here is a picture of the US Mint with 2 snipers. There were also bomb sniffing dogs who checked out the stage before the ceremony began.

Amazing look at history in the making, Cindy. The only person missing was President Clinton's former Vice President, the current and next Rightful President of the United States, Al Gore. OK. Maybe he didn't need to be there, and I'm letting my partisanship show. Sorry! Anyway, Great pics that we wouldn't necessarily get to see on this forum. Thanks! Thom
