My Grandparents & myself used to stay there in the 80's. Knolls was always kept in Excellent shape. When I got Married, my wife & myself had stayed there (before the Children); usually for the Car Show Weekends w/ my Corvair SW. I was given a Parking Space under the Units in the Rear & they had reserved the same space for me after the Show. Carol & her Husband (I forgot their names) I think were from near Kutztown, PA who were your Hosts. They had several nice Cats (were very tame). Seemed to be nice folks.

No, my Lakewood is a 1961, my Rampside is a 1961, and my Greenbrier is a 1963. Imagine these kind of vehicles Parked in front of Knoll's or any other Motel from that time period! It would be real Cool looking in this day & age to see that! Also, with the High Gas Prices, the Corvair got about on average 20 MPG (that's pretty good for a double Carbureted, 6 Cylinder Engine).

I passed by and figured the place was going to be demolished. I'm thrilled to hear that's not going to be the case!

I'll try to get some info on Knoll's when I head down later today. We'll be staying until Saturday for our last "summer" trip of the year.
I'll see what I can find out.

Oh, wow! I had a 1966 Corvair once upon a time. Loved that car. Even though "someone" just said it was unsafe at any speed, it was fantastic on gas milage!
