While I am thinking about the Status Quo...
I hope I am wrong, but do not be surprised if the Herald does nothing with the information that I received from the COAH and posted here earlier.
If this does not happen within a few weeks, I will post some remarks as to why.
As I say, however, I sincerely hope a story is generated from this info. I believe our locals are in trouble. Housing costs are out of control.

I have been busy the last couple of days. During this time of the year, I have some extra time on my hands, so I took this opportunity to do some indoor house painting.
I tackled the beast...our living room...which has a cathedral ceiling with a popcorn finish.
What a job!
I will, hopefully, be getting busier shortly as Spring rolls around. As a result, I may not have an opportunity to post here as much as I would like.
I will do my best, however, since I believe the door has opened a bit. Perhaps, this is the "desk" that I was offered some years back when I proposed the expansion of Doo Wop.

One other thing...
I have decided to remain signed in.
Regardless of whether I post or not...my spirit and that of my work will be here 24/7.
Let us hope it will help....help, not only those who live in the Wildwoods, but everyone within our county and beyond.

The concept of inclusive playgrounds would not only, in my view, better serve our locals...but also accommodate our young disabled visitors and enhance their vacation experience. I would urge those who are the recreation leaders, decision-makers, and the general public in the Wildwoods to explore what Boundless Playgrounds and other groups like it have to offer. Please understand that recreational inclusiveness is broader than wheel-chair accessibility. Personally, I would like to explore applying this concept to disabled adults and seniors...indeed, include everyone. www.boundlessplaygrounds.org/("Every Child! Every Ability! Everywhere!" Pretty cool.)

I do not know what became of this ordinance, but there is a provision for Inclusionary Housing in this proposal. www.wildwoodnj.org/ProposedOrdinance.htmI think that I will e-mail the city and see what happened...if anything has. Assuming this is in force, then the movers and shakers on the island should promote this a bit. Perhaps, it could stimulate some movement in this area.

Way to go, DWPL.
I thought this forum was gone.
Yep...way to go...and way to think and act inclusively!
Cool stuff.

Below is a post originally intended to be placed here: Here is an amazing, practical application of my work: springfield.news-leader.com/opinions/today/20050222-Freebooksforkid.htmlCommunities within our county could fund this through their board of educations, their recreation departments, the United Way, other local foundations, and concerned businesses and individuals. The county might chip in through its library system or, perhaps, by awarding grants. As it states in the article, "rich or poor, advantaged or disadvantaged, everyone is included" in this program. --------- This is doable. Wildwood could do this....easily.

Assuming this is in force, then the movers and shakers on the island should promote this a bit. Perhaps, it could stimulate some movement in this area. Unfortunately, there has been no response to the following e-mail that I sent at the beginning of this week to Faith Wilson, Wildwood's Tax Collector: Greetings, Faith. I have a couple of questions. If you can not help, please pass them on to someone who can. Was this www.wildwoodnj.org/ProposedOrdinance.htm approved? If so, why doesn''t the city push the Inclusionary Housing part of it? Lord knows, Wildwood...indeed, our entire county...needs to start concentrating on affordable housing. Take care. Ed Rosenberg www.everyoneisincluded.us------- I am going to forward it to Ms. Breuss, a Wildwood Councilwoman, and see what happens.

Comcast of Wildwood's Weatherscan print for local forecasts appears to have gotten larger.
Whether this is so or not...whether planned or not, enlarged print is a good application of thinking and acting inclusively...the accommodation of those who have sight problems.
This is part of the m.o. of an inclusive community...and another consideration for the DWPL as it moves forward. Remember there are many Doo Wop devotees who are getting a bit older.

In the last two editions of the Herald, I have noticed a St. Ann's Church of Wildwood advertisement. Part of the text is in Spanish.
A year or two ago, I believe, the parish initiated a mass offered in Spanish.
Very nice.

By the way, any expansion of the Doo Wop music scene should, most certainly, include Latin music.
It, of course, is inclusive of local Hispanic residents, but its appeal is broad. My son has performed with a Latin group and my wife and I had the opportunity of seeing this group cook in Atlantic City. The nite club was packed. Its energy and beat attracts dancers of all ages, all sizes and shapes...Latina, Latino, and everyone else.
