Front page of the Wildwood Leader today Headline. The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority(CRDA) has offered the planning board $30,000 and a chance to preserve some of its unique architectual style. The program would assist the borough in creating "aesthetic design guidelines" that are in line with its history and character. If sucessful, the project would be a model for other NJ state coastal communities, who are stuggling to maintain their own distinctive styles amid booming developement. That's the first 2 paragraphs. Maybe this will wake the city fathers up? re

Wow, that's great news. The City Fathers need to be voted out, they've caused enough destruction. Funny, DWPL financed the "How to Doo Wop Handbook" of Design Guidelines. The Crest just needs to read it, or heed it.

Voters in the Crest go to the polls on May 10. Let's hope they vote for the betterment of the borough's future! From what I've been reading locally, developement is the main focus of the race. You have 5 candidates to fill 3 seats, 2 are incumbents, the current Mayor isn't running for re-election.

Two, Gould and Hoeger are running a platform that promises placing stronger control on demolition and construction. Gould is a former Mayor and Commissioner, Hoeger is a retired teacher. The incumbents', Tomlin and Cabrera are running on their accomlishments over the last 4 years (in their minds I guess). The developement of a new master plan that will provide legal guidelines for future developement. They are running on a bracketed ticket with political newcomer Carl Groom. re

I think the Mayor is elected by the commissioners. guess one of the others would be voted in? It a 3 commissioner form of goverment, I beleive? I live in North Wildwood, here we have 8 council members and an elected Mayor. What a comedy routine that is ;D Maybe Anthony would have more info on the Crest form of goverment?
